Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join their client's finance team in California. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and motivated professional who is passionate about maintaining accurate financial records and contributing to a company's financial success.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records and reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
• Review and process invoices, expense reports, and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (REQUIRED)
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, etc.).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA candidate or intent to pursue CPA designation is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems and data analysis tools.

Required Work Hours

Work hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Benefits

Competitive salary with a pay range of $70,000 to $85,000 per year.
